The Vision

ASH’s aims to save and renovate Alresford station house for the benefit of the whole community by providing a safe and inviting environment that will enable them to engage in activities, learning and employment; and through this, tackle issues such as isolation, mental health, learning difficulties, environmental issues and unemployment.

A café for all

Working in conjunction with a local special needs school, a café will be run that caters to the needs of commuters, visitors and local residents

Meeting rooms

A flexible, multi-functional space for community groups, businesses and educational use to expand on the already oversubscribed village hall facilities

Retail Space

An outlet for local craft, products and produce with the potential to also give access to a local food co-op and a more ecological approach to consumer products e.g. refills on household items

Community Garden

Expand and improve the existing community garden and its surrounding area and encourage wildlife and the growing of food.

Men in Sheds

Establish a ‘men-in-sheds’ project – create a space for local men to meet, learn, share skills and pass knowledge across the generations.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Create a comfortable meeting place for groups that address the issues regarding mental health and wellbeing within the community

Sustainability & The Environment

Provide a dedicated space where the community can get access to information regarding sustainability, the environment and climate change
